Leila was united in marriage to William Lee Sloan on February 22nd, 1939, in Alburnett. They farmed near Toddville prior to moving to their current farm in 1944. Lee died on August 5th, 1999.
Leila loved her life with Lee. Together, side by side, is how they lived, farmed, attended church, community and family events. She was a wonderful cook; always sharing her goodies with others. Leila was a member of Alburnett United Methodist Church, the Alburnett Historical Society, and a longstanding member of the CC Club. She loved birthday parties, the Iowa State Fair, basketball, Sloan reunions, and her home.
Leila's family would like to thank Deana, Deb, Barbara, Carman, Gary, and the Staff at Home Choice Senior Care and St. Luke's Hospice for their loving care.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Leila's memory.
