Larry A. Randall, Jr. 79, of 2881 60th Street, Vinton, Iowa, died Saturday, September 2, 2006, in his home of cardiac arrest. Services: 1:30 p.m. Friday, September 8, 2006, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. The family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 7, 2006, at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis; his children, Steven (Shirley) Randall of Florida, Penny Warner of Illinois, Delores Randall of Vinton, Cindy (Roland) Burns of Cedar Rapids, Judy (Terry) Biever of Texas, Lloyd (Sandy) Henderson, Jr. of Marion, Robert (Melody) Henderson of Cedar Rapids, Rebecca (Robert) Coleman of Lisbon, Ruby Cayler of Colorado and Vickie Henderson of Cedar Rapids; 28 grandchildren; and 27 great grandchildren. Also surviving are his sisters, Patricia Randall of Cedar Rapids, Barbara Pierce of Marion and Janice Bentley of Vinton; and brothers, Raymond Randall of LaPorte City and Ron Randall of Grundy Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents; children, Carl Randall, John Randall, Rebecca Randall and Linda Slight; his brothers, Donald Randall, Gerald Randall, and Harry Randall; his sisters, Betty McGrew and Bernice Randall.
Larry was born April 30, 1927, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Lawrence and Leone (Deal) Randall. On October 13, 1982, he was united in marriage to Phyllis Tucker in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He worked for Wilson Packing House for 30 years, farmed for 30 years and as Randall?s Handyman from 1972 until retiring in 1989.
