Lawrence I. Dauber, 88, of Central City, passed away at home with his “girls” on Thursday, June 27, 2013. Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Prairieburg, by Father Wayne Droessler. The family will greet friends from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2013, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Central City, with a scripture service beginning at 2:30 p.m. Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery, Prairieburg.
Survivors include his daughter, Teresa (Kenneth) McNamara; granddaughter, Andrea McNamara; brother, James R. (Vivian) Dauber; sister-in-law, Florence Dauber; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys; parents, John and Marie Dauber; sisters, Lois (Morris) Kohl, and Margaret (David) Himes; brother, Robert Dauber; parents-in-law, Paul and Mary Holub; and brother-in-law, Leonard Holub.
Lawrence was born September 29, 1924, to John and Marie (Saum) Dauber. He was married to Gladys Holub on February 21, 1949, and they celebrated 60 years of marriage prior to her passing in 2009. They farmed for many years in the Prairieburg area, until moving to Central City in 2000. Lawrence was proud to say he loved what he did for a living every single day. Lawrence was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Prarieburg.
The family would like to thank the many relatives, friends, and neighbors that blessed Lawrence with their calls and visits. They also extend their thanks to Dr. Mary Anne Nelson, as well as Jeremy, and the staff at St. Luke’s Infusion Center for their care and compassion.
