LaVon Marek, 88, of Center Point, passed away Monday, May 21, 2018, at Rock Ridge Residential Care Center, Shellsburg. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 26, 2018, at Alice Cemetery, Center Point. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point.
LaVon was born May 6, 1930, the daughter of George and Stella (Bartosh) Buehler. She was united in marriage to Jerome Marek. LaVon enjoyed fishing at her cabin in Minnesota, gardening, and playing cards.
She is survived by her sister, Darlene Fieselman; nephew, Gene (Sheryl) Betenbender; great-niece, Amy; great-nephew, Chad; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
LaVon was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry; brother, Hubert; and half-brother, Dick.
