Lavern Lee Noeller, 74, of Wapello, Iowa, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, July 06, 2009, in Heritage Nursing & Rehab Center, Cedar Rapids. Lavern requested no public services. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his children, Randi (Doug) Whiteaker of Scottsdale, Arizona, Kim (Bill) Smith of Cedar Rapids, Andrea (Ed) Davidson of Cedar Rapids and Paul Noeller; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Lavern was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Marvin Noeller and Tex Noeller.
Born October 4, 1934, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Lavern was the son of Paul and Libby (Schultz) Noeller. He attended the University of Iowa on a wrestling scholarship. Lavern worked for Sanitary Dairy and Paul Revere Financial.
Lavern enjoyed hunting geese at Lake Odessa and his dogs were his passion the last few years.
