Laura I. Sauerbry, 76, of Greeley, Iowa, died early Thursday morning, June 19, 2003, at the Regional Medical Center, Manchester, after a short illness.
A Memorial Service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 21, 2003, at the Greeley United Methodist Church in Greeley. Burial of her cremains will be in the Goschen Cemetery, Millville, Iowa. Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service is in charge of arrangements.
Laura was born on October 6, 1926, in Graham, Iowa, the daughter of Howard L. & Elga L. (Welch) Tindell. On April 30, 1948, Laura was united in marriage to Worthy G. Sauerbry. The couple lived in Greeley. Laura worked at Ertl Toy Company in Dyersville, Iowa, retiring in 1988.
Laura was a member of the United Methodist Church in Greeley, Iowa. Her family was her life. She will be remembered for her cooking especially her "smiley-face? pancakes. Laura enjoyed raising her flowers.
Laura is survived by her four children and their spouses, Georgia Puccio of Greeley, Sharon & Darrell Smith of Colesburg, Dollie & Roger Prickett of Sumner, and Glen & Kathie Sauerbry of Greeley; a daughter-in-law, Karen Sauerbry of Greeley; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mildred Ingles of Greeley and Beulah & Clair Brady of Cedar Rapids.
Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Worthy G. Sauerbry; her parents, Howard L. & Elga L. Tindell; a son, Bobby Joe Sauerbry; and a brother, James Tindell.
