Laura M. Cameron, 94, a resident of Hiawatha Care Center, died Friday, January 7, 2005, at the care center following a long term illness. Services: 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 10, 2005, at Alice United Methodist Church, Center Point by Rev. Leo and Sherry Andersen and Rev. Jill Cameron. Friends may call from 3-6 p.m., Sunday, January 9, 2004, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point. Burial: Troy Mills Cemetery, Troy Mills.
Survivors include her husband, Clarence; her children, Duane J. Cameron and wife Jean of Council Bluffs, Marlys L. Raddatz and husband Dean of Troy Mills and Douglas D. Cameron of Marion; a daughter-in-law, Marlene Cameron of Marion; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Claudia Berry of Shellsburg; and a brother, Wilbur McAtee of Seaside, California.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Delmar; her grandparents; 9 brothers and 3 sisters.
Laura was born June 23, 1910, the daughter of John Robert and Uva Mae (Washburn) McAtee in Linn County. On June 2, 1928, she married Clarence C. Cameron in Albert Lea, Minnesota.
