LaRue Thompson, 85, of Delhi, passed away October 24, 2013.
Celebration of Life will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 28, 2013 at the Delhi United Methodist Church, Delhi. Family will greet friends from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., prior to services. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Delhi.
LaRue was born March 6, 1928 in Coggon, the daughter of Henry and Marie (McCusker) Ehlers. On October 9, 1949, she was united in marriage to Glenn Thompson at the Buck Creek United Methodist Church, Buck Creek, IA. Glenn died September 5, 1994.
LaRue was a homemaker and was an avid Square Dancer with the Country Cousins.
LaRue is survived by two children, Corey (Karla) Thompson of Delhi and Lin (Don) Swanson of Walford; one sister, Jean (Rodney) Wilson of Buck Creek; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
LaRue was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn; three children, Susan Mann, Kris Kramer, and David Thompson; and one great-grandchild, Brevin Kramer.
