Larry Osten, 60, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2015. Family will greet friends from 3-6 p.m. Saturday, December 12, 2015, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremations Service, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Survivors include his daughter, Rachel (Pete Tamayo) Osten; mother, Alberta Osten; siblings, Charles (Peter Osborne) Osten, Terry (Vicky) Osten, Ray (Shelly) Osten, Jerry Osten and Garry (Jolande) Osten.
He was preceded in death by his father; and wife, Christine.
Larry was born on December 15, 1954, in Newton, Iowa, son of Charles William and Alberta (Hartman) Osten. He served in the Army in the early 70’s. Larry married Christine Sullivan in St. Louis, Missouri in 1981. He worked as a high rise window cleaner in St. Louis for ten years. Larry enjoyed doing construction work, fishing and was an avid outdoorsman.
