Larry "Mac? Edward McKee, 69, of 14899 Peppermill Dr., Olathe, Kansas, formerly of Springville, died Monday, December 1, 2003, in his home after a courageous battle with cancer. Services: 2 p.m. Friday, December 5, 2003, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion, by the Rev. John Keizer. Friends may call Friday from 12:30 p.m. to service time at the funeral home. Burial: Springville Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Delores "Dee? of Olathe, Kansas; two sons, Sean (Kathy) McKee of Marion, Iowa, and Shane (Michele) McKee of Moline, Illinois; a stepdaughter, Michelle (Ron) Luckner of Olathe, Kansas; a brother, Gary (Carolyn) Matheny of Cresco, Iowa; two sisters, Pam (Merlyn) Brown of Solon, Iowa, and Mary Jean (Kent) Ulrich of Fort Dodge, Iowa; two half brothers, Allan Scott of Phoenix, Arizona, and Harvey Timms of Mentor, Ohio; a half sister, Peggy Timms of Gold Canyon, Arizona; and four grandchildren, Nichelle McKee, Katelynn and Robyn Luckner and Cassandra McKee.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Larry was the son of John Guy McKee and Lorenna McShane McKee. He was born on November 14, 1934, in Iowa City, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Delores "Dee? Baker on April 8, 1977, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Larry served in the Navy from 1955 to 1959. He worked for the FAA for forty-five years.
