Larry "Trapper? Donald LeVelle, 50, of 5701 Gordon Court N.W., died Friday, June 24, 2005, in his home, following an extended illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2005, at Urbana Christian Church, Urbana, by the Rev. Thomas Felts. Burial: Urbana Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Tuesday at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point.
Survivors include a daughter, Holly (Eric Love) LeVelle of Palo; a son, Eric (Elizabeth Steele) LeVelle of Yankton, South Dakota; grandchildren, Ford Hodges, Hannah LeVelle, Brandon Love, Maxwell Strawn and Julia LeVelle; four brothers, Terry (Teri) LeVelle, Kevin (Kim) LeVelle and Kelvin LeVelle, all of Cedar Rapids, and Kelly (Sharon) LeVelle of Center Point; two sisters, Cathy LeVelle and Karen LeVelle, both of Cedar Rapids, his grandmother, Frances Benson of Urbana; his former wife, Shirley Smith Fitzpatrick of Cedar Rapids; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
His father, Marvin LeVelle in 1974, his mother, Shirley LeVelle in 1989; grandparents, Leland Benson and Frank and Mary LeVelle; and a grandson, Cheyenne Parish, preceded him in death.
He was born March 25, 1955, in Cedar Rapids, to Marvin Donald and Shirley Jean Benson LeVelle. In 1974, he married Shirley Smith. They later divorced. He served with the U.S. Army; was a member of the Brothers of the Vietnam Vets Motorcycle Club; and was baptized at the New Creation Church in Cedar Rapids. Trapper loved motorcycles and his grandchildren.
