Larry W. Jemison, 55, died Thursday, September 26, 2002, in his home with his family at his side, after a brave battle with cancer. Memorial Services: 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 30, 2002 at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by Chaplain Steve Hindman. Friends may call one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Military rites by American Legion Hanford Post 5.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Jan, employed at Kohl?s Department Store; son, Aron and wife Shannon, their children, Jace, Courtney, Aron Jr., and Ryan, from Glenview, IL; son Chris and wife Jenny, their children Hannah, Hayden and a new addition Madlyn, born on September 26, 2002; his parents, Kenneth and Madelene Jemison from Wichita, Kansas; and sister, Erlene Senseney and husband Denny and their daughter Abigail from Wichita.

Larry was born on January 23, 1947, in Osborne, KS. He graduated from Osborne High School in 1965 and then attended Wichita Technical Institute in Wichita, KS. Larry was drafted into the US Army in 1967, stationed in Ft. Bliss, TX. After being discharged from the US Army, he and his family relocated to Cedar Rapids. Larry was employed by Rockwell Collins, Acro Manufacturing, Borlog Systems, and most recently with Master Tool and Manufacturing. Larry enjoyed woodworking, Ham radio operations, music and being with his family.

A memorial fund has been established with St Luke's Hospital Hospice.
