Lan Nguyen, 100, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, October 01, 2013, at her home. Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 5, 2013, at All Saints Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, with additional visitation from 9:30 until service time. Visitation will be from 4-8 Thursday and Friday, October 3rd and 4th at the Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her children, Nghi Pham, Thom Pham, Thao Pham, Thanh Pham; son-in-law, Chien Nguyen; daughter-in-law, Tuyet Pham; grandchildren, Hugh, Lisa, Tina, Kathy, Cindy, Ngoc and Xuan; great grandchildren, Tyler, Kendall, Jimmy, Benjamin, Tony, Julia, Elaine and Michael; and step daughter, Linda Beaman, and Pat and Sandy Murphy, who helped support her during hard times.
Lan was born on January 1, 1913, in Vietnam, daughter of Pham and Nguyen (La) Pham. She married Hieu Pham, he died in 1968. Lan enjoyed gardening, her grandchildren, praying, cooking, being sociable and playing slot machines.
