Kurtis Leroy Jones, 44, of Marion, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at ABCM Rehab West Village in Independence, Iowa. A celebration of Kurtis’s life will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 16, at North Point located at, 621 Center Point Road NE Suite B, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Marion is assisting the family.
Kurtis was born July 25, 1978, to Sherrie and Kenneth Jones. He was a huge racing fan. Kurtis was at Hawkeye Downs every Friday, until his health wouldn’t allow him to. He was also a Green Bay Packers fan. He loved big family BBQ’s and shopping for anything. Kurtis will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Kurtis is survived and lovingly remembered by his mom and dad, Sherrie and David Coghlan of Marion; father, Kenneth Jones of Missouri; brothers, Kristopher (Lisa), David Jr. (Amanda), and Travis (Melissa); one sister, Stacy; and several aunts and uncles.
He had many nieces and nephews, who he had bought their first bikes for.
