Kevin J. Recker
July 19, 1964 — March 8, 2007
Kevin J. Recker, 42, of Cody, Wyoming, formerly of Coggon, died Thursday, March 8, 2007, at St. Vincent Hospital in Billings, Montana, from complications of a heart attack. Funeral Mass: 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 17, 2007, at St. John Catholic Church in Coggon by Father Wayne Droessler and Father Doug Loecke. The family will greet family and friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment: Mt. Olivet Cemetery immediately following the mass. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Central City.
Survivors include his daughters, Katelyn, Kendallyn, and Karalyn Recker of Coggon; his mother, Marie Recker of Manchester; sisters, Michelle Recker, Melissa (Mark) Becker of Manchester, and Dawn (Tim) Boge of Coggon; brothers, Bruce Recker of Waterloo and Kirk Recker of Manchester; his former wife, Pam Recker of Coggon; his special friend, Rhonda Cheney of Cody, Wyoming; four god-children, Matthew and Mandy Kirby of Cedar Rapids, Brandon Becker of Manchester, and Mitchell Stadtmueller of Monticello; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Recker and his very special grandmother, Margaret Recker.
Kevin was born July 19, 1964, in Manchester and adopted by Lloyd and Marie (Burkle) Recker. He graduated from Maquoketa Valley High School in 1982. Kevin enjoyed NASCAR, snowmobiling, video games, and country music. He had been a former member of the Coggon Volunteer Fire Department and the Knights of Columbus.
A memorial fund has been established in his name for his daughters.
