Kevin L. Gingerich, 42, of 1020 A Avenue NW, Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, December 1, 2004, at University of Iowa Hospital & Clinics, Iowa City, following a brief illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 6, 2004, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Gary Dobbins. Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, December 5, 2004, at the funeral home.
Survivors include his children, Sara Oxley and Stacia Gingerich, both of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Debra Licht of Lowden; two brothers, Richard (Brenda) of Wellington, Kansas, and David of Cedar Rapids; and his longtime companion, Michelle Klouda.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Michael.
Kevin was born December 10, 1961, the son of Harlan and Dorothy Reed Gingerich, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. For 18 years, he worked at Coe College in the custodial department. Kevin enjoyed crossword puzzles, mystery books and being outside in the sunshine. His greatest loves were his daughters, Sara and Stacia.
