Kenneth W. Shaffer, 90, of Troy Mills, died Monday, August 29, 2005, in his home after several years of declining health. Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 1, 2005, at Troy Mills Christian Church by Rev. Les Larson. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2005, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Walker. Burial: Alice Cemetery in Center Point.
Survivors include his wife, Callie; his daughter, Mary Rose (Darrell) Elliott of Anamosa; a sister, Berneice (Philip) Hand of Center Point; three grandchildren, Cory (Jeff) Cronbaugh, Trudy (Loyd) Waybill and Melissa Letts; six great-grandchildren, Bryce Cronbaugh, J.D. & C.J. Waybill, and Ashley, Amy and Client Letts; and three nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Kenneth was born January 15, 1915, the son of Emmett and Rose (Schuch) Shaffer in Becker, Minnesota. On February 24, 1941, he married Callie Rose in Cedar Rapids.
