Kenneth C. Mcnutt
August 25, 1940 — March 19, 2006
Kenneth C. "Buzz? McNutt, 65, of 1170 30th St., formerly of Springville, died Sunday, March 19, 2006, at St. Luke?s Hospital, following a long illness. Services: 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 23, 2006, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion by Rev. Del Bear. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial: Springville Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille of Marion; a son Jeffrey (Stacey) McNutt of Solon; a daughter, Lori (Cory) Hoskins of Springville; his mother, Crystal McNutt Gourley of Bedford; a sister, Betty Miller of Creston; two brothers, Marvin (Lorretta) McNutt of Bedford and Steve (Sherry) McNutt of Trenton, Missouri; four grandsons, Christopher, Cameron and Cael McNutt and Drew Hoskins; a granddaughter, Dara Hoskins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles D. McNutt; a brother, Larry McNutt; and an infant sister, Nancy.
Kenn was born August 25, 1940, the son of Charles D. and Crystal L. (Hayworth) McNutt in Conway. On November 5, 1966, he married Lucille A. McCoy. He graduated from Diagonal High School and received his B.S. from William Penn College. Kenn taught school and coached at Springville Community Schools for nineteen years. He was active in the Iowa High School Sports Association, and coached/umpired multiple sports including football, softball, baseball and basketball at many area schools over the years. Kenn had coached girl?s high school tennis at Marion High School for the last sixteen years.
Kenn was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed fishing and playing catch with his grandchildren. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
