Kenneth Raymond Kennedy, 88, of Marion died Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 12 at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, August 12 at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Cedar Rapids by Father Dennis. A memorial mass to honor Kenneth’s memory will be held at a later date.
Kenneth was born on October 5, 1924 in Cedar Rapids to Ralph and Laura (Watson) Kennedy. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother, Robert. Kenneth was a kind and gentle person who wished only to be remembered as a good man and someone who was dedicated to his Catholic faith.
Memorials in Kenneth’s honor should be directed to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion.
