Kenneth Dale Heston, 73, of 1154 7th Avenue, Marion, Iowa, died June 9, 2005, in Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids following a long illness. Services: 1:30 p.m. Monday, June 13, 2005, at Murdoch Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. The family will greet friends from 11:30 a.m.until 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial: Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Fairfield, Iowa with military honors.

Survivors include two sons, Dr. Jerry and Pat Flynn-Heston of Memphis, Tennessee and Doug and Kathy Heston of Land O Lakes, Florida; four grandchildren; and special friend, Claire Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Dick Heston.

Kenneth was born to William and Laura (Anderson) Heston in Fairfield, Iowa, on December 11, 1931. He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1949 and served in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1971. He served during the Korean Conflict. Ken retired from Rockwell Collins and then became the owner and operator of an antique mall in Marion. He was an avid antique collector and enjoyed attending auctions. His passion was ballroom dancing. He was a Hawkeye fan and fair weather Cardinals fan.
