Kenneth G. Ama

Kenneth G. Ama, 65, of 3386 Schmickle Road, Marion, died Thursday, January 5, 2006, in St. Luke?s Hospital, Cedar Rapids, from a heart attack. Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2006, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion, Iowa, by the Rev. Del Bear. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 - 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Survivors include his wife, Donna; a daughter, Kristine (Matt) Fehringer of Parker, Colorado; a son, Craig (Silvia) Ama of Herforst, Germany; five grandchildren, Elena and Elisabeth Ama and Kyle, Cody and Kade Fehringer; a brother, Gerald (Roseanne) Ama of Fort Myers, Florida; and a sister, Myrna Randall of Lockridge, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Edwin.
Kenneth was born January 26, 1940, the son of George and Rosalia Kellner Ama in Blue Earth, Minnesota. On September 28, 1963, he was united in marriage to Donna Dietrich in Brownsdale, Minnesota. Kenneth served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed at Rockwell for thirty-three years, retiring in 1996. Kenneth was a member of Meadowview Country Club in Central City.
Kenneth was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his memory.
