Kenneth E. Freel, 63, of 4845 Johnson Avenue NW, died Saturday, May 15, 2004, at Heritage Nursing & Rehab Center, following a long illness. Services: 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 18, 2004, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 17, 2004, at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his children, Kenneth Freel, Jr. and Diane Freel; three grandchildren; his sisters, Sharon Carroll of North Carolina and Pat Dick of Minnesota; and two nieces and two nephews.
Kenneth was born December 9, 1940, in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of Dallas and Reva (Little) Freel. He attended Rosalie Public School in Rosalie, Nebraska. He worked as a tree trimmer.
