Keith R. Price
October 2, 1938 — April 7, 2005
Keith R. Price, 66, of 470 Quass Rd., Robins, died Thursday, April 7, 2005, in St. Luke?s Hospital, Cedar Rapids, after a short illness. Services: 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2005, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion, by the Rev. Steve Russell. Visitation at the funeral home will be from 2 - 6 p.m. Sunday (April 10.) Burial: Mt. Clark Cemetery, Central City.
Survivors include his children, Brad Price of Mount Auburn, Iowa, and Rona Price and Darren Price, both of Central City.
Also surviving are three grandchildren, Dustin, Derick and Dalton; a sister, Phyillis (Jerome) Trzil of Marion; and numerous relatives and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Rose.
The son of Howard W. and Elizabeth (Edgerly) Price, Keith was born October 2, 1938, in Linn County, Iowa. He married Vivian Silver on June 2, 1959, and they later divorced. On September 9, 1989, he married Rose Madsen in Robins. She died October 25, 1997. Keith was a graduate of Mt. Vernon High School. Keith farmed with his father for several years in Linn County. He also was employed by Cargill for forty-four years while having his own grain trucking business, retiring in 2001, and was a member of the Teamsters Union.
For many years, Keith enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting and watching the Hawkeyes and NASCAR races.
