Keith James Knuppe, 74, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2016, at his home. Service: 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 16, 2016, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, conducted by Pastor Dave King. Visitation: one hour prior to service, at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his mother, Ruth; wife, Mary Frances, both of Cedar Rapids; children, John Paul (Karie) of Fort Worth, Texas; Kristen Marie (Scott), Robert Alan (Kim) and Bryon Keith (Julie), all of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Brandon (Whitney), Kaitlyn (Herve), Keith, Joey, Ashlie, Derik and Madilynn, all of Cedar Rapids, Alex and Hannah of Texas; great-grandchildren, Aleena, Leeanna and Amora of Texas; Vincent, Drea and Kaisen of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his step-dad, Robert Waddington.
Keith was born on August 21, 1942, in Iowa City, Iowa, son of Robert Waddington and Ruth Knuppe. He served in the US Navy in the 1960’s. On April 20, 1966, Keith and Mary Frances (Badinger) were united in marriage, in Yonkers, New York. He retired in 2010, as a machinist for Terex. Keith was a member of the AFL C10 Union and the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed spending time with his family, his beloved dogs and fishing. Keith was an avid bowler and achieved two 300 games.
