Kay M. Hyatt, 66, of 3920 Highway 151, of Marion, died Tuesday, May 6, 2003, in Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, of complications following surgery. Celebration of Life services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 9, 2003, at Antioch Christian Church in Marion by the Rev. John Seitz. There will be no visitation. Arrangements with Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Marion.

Surviving are three daughters, Laura White-Mohseni of Marion, Toni (Greg) Schaefer of Marion and Jean (Glade Jr.) Cook of Marcy, New York; a son, Robert Hyatt of Marion; a sister, Grace Warren of Oneida, New York; a brother, Roger (Sharon) Warren of Verona, New York; and two stepdaughters, Leandra and Anna Hyatt.

Also surviving are six grandchildren, Shahene Mohseni, Levi, Carrie, Leslie, and Kellar Schaefer, Kayla Cook; a aunt, Myrtle Clark of Ontario, Canada; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a stepdaughter, Julie.

Kay was born to Herbert and Doris Kellar Warren on June 10, 1936, in Watertown, New York. On June 22, 1968, she was married to Earl Hyatt. He died December 29, 1992. Kay was a member of Antioch Christian Church in Marion.

She was a loving mother and grandmother and especially enjoyed spoiling the grand kids. Kay touched many lives in many different ways and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Kay personified Christianity because she would give out of the little that she had to anyone who had need.

A memorial fund has been established in Kay?s memory.
