Kathryn Jane (Podrebarac) Roudabush

Kathryn Jane (Podrebarac) Roudabush, 84, of Hiawatha, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Promise House in Hiawatha. No services will be held, and a private burial will take place at Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines, Iowa. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, assisted the family.
Kathryn was born January 23, 1940, in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of William and Edna (Johnson) Podrebarac. She graduated from East High School in Des Moines. Kathryn was the office manager/bookkeeper for Christopher's Restaurant in Des Moines for 20 years before moving to Brooklyn, Iowa. She married Evan J. Roudabush in Las Vegas, Nevada on August 13, 1988. They were the proud owners of Roudabush Tree Farm. Active in the Sports Car Club of America for many years, she and Evan drove a sprint car push truck at Knoxville Raceway.
Survivors include her children, Kristi (Brian) Pitzele of Kirkland, Washington, Kerry (Matt) Nissen of Coggon, Iowa, and Kelly Kohls of Raleigh, North Carolina; grandchildren, Kayley (Cameron) Carrillo of Roy, Washington, Bronte (Jerad) Hardison of Las Vegas, Nevada, Joely Pitzele of Yakima, Washington, Danika Pitzele of Newcastle, Washington, Kaitlin Willett of Gilman, Iowa, Spencer Willett of Cedar Rapids, and Emma Willett of Coggon, Iowa; and five great-grandchildren.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
