Kathleen Rae Wink

Kathleen "Kat? Wink, 45, of LaCrosse, Wisconsin, formerly of Manchester, Iowa died of breast cancer on October 1, 2005, at the Mulder Healthcare Facility, West Salem, Wisconsin.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at the Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Manchester. Friends may call from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and one hour before services on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Manchester.
Kat was born December 25, 1959 in Roswell, New Mexico, the daughter of Everett N. and Sandra J. (Minkler) Wink. Her father was in the Marines, causing the family to move frequently. In 1966, the family located in Iowa where Kat attended Maquoketa Valley School. In 1988, she moved to Minnesota and worked in LaCrosse. In 1992, Kat moved to Wisconsin where she lived in LaCrosse, Onalaska and Sparta.
Kat was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Onalaska. She worked in a factory and did housekeeping for area offices and hotels. Kat most recently worked as a cab driver in LaCrosse. She enjoyed crafting, needle point, cross-stitching, sewing and crocheting. She had a love for cats. Kat will be remembered as being a happy person who always had a smile on her face, even through the hard times. She was always there to lend a helping hand.
Kat is survived by three children, Sandra Cooksley (fiancé Tracy "Stretch? Miller) of Sparta, WI, Clinton Cooksley and Everett (Tracy) Cooksley, both of Norwalk, WI; two grandsons, Tyler and Matthew Cooksley; her mother, Sandra Minkler of Ida Grove, IA; two brothers, Randy and Richard (Rose) Wink, both of AZ; two step-brothers, Joe Giellis and Eugene (Marsha) Giellis, both of Manchester; a step-sister, Ginny (Tom) Rose of Hopkinton, IA; two half-sisters, Christine (Gail) Boysen of Ida Grove, IA and Penny (Dan) Lenninger of Cherokee, IA; a half-brother, Don (Nancy) Wayland of Remsen, IA; her step-mother, Carol Wink of Bullhead City, AZ; and her grandmother, Goldie Minkler of Hawkensville, GA.
Kat was preceded in death by her father, Everett Wink; grandparents, Letha Martin, Albert Wink and Rae Minkler; a step-brother, John Giellis; and step-grandfather, Donald Martin.
