Kathleen P. Parker, 72, of 1110 Northview Drive, Marion, died Thursday, September 29, 2005, in Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. Monday, October 3, 2005, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion, with Father José Comparán officiating. Burial: Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Friends may call at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion, from 2 - 5 p.m. Sunday.
Kathleen is survived by her husband of fifty years, Harry "Pug? Parker; three sons, John Parker of Morrisville, North Carolina, Joe (Leslie) Parker of Cedar Rapids and Jerry (Eileen) Parker of Walford; five grandchildren, Kurt, Karissa, Devin, Molly and Amy; a great-grandson, Jeffrey; and a sister, Eileen (Cliff) Rovelto of Leawood, Kansas. Also surviving are two daughters-in-law, Debra Lancaster and Deb Parker.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Jeffrey and James.
Kathleen was born the daughter of Edward and Bernadine Collins Bray on July 2, 1933, in Chicago. She was united in marriage to Harry J. Parker Jr. on April 23, 1955, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion, where she was a member.
A memorial fund has been established in memory of Kathleen.
