Kathleen "Katie" Hobson

Kathleen “Katie” Hobson, 92, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on July 25, 2015, at her home with her family by her side. Per Katie’s wishes cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Arrangements made by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
Survivors include her children, Lillian (Harlan) Sailor of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Barbara Boston of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Thomas (Rhonda) Hobson of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, George “Rick” (Patricia) Hobson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary (Barry), Ken (Gail), Jim (Lil), Les (Maureen); many nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of England.
Preceded in death by her son, Jaimie Hobson; her husband, Thomas Hobson; granddaughter, Samantha Hobson; son-in- law, Daniel Boston; and sister, Joan Brodus.
Katie was an avid bingo player and enjoyed her trips to the casino. But her greatest love of all was spending time with all of her grandchildren.
