Kathleen Marie Gordon (Blume)

Kathleen Marie Gordon, 71, of Marion, Iowa, passed away Friday, December 7, 2007 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, following a brief illness. A Memorial Service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 11, 2007, at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Marion by Rev. Del Bear. The family will greet friends from 11a.m. ?" 1 p.m. on Tuesday, prior to the Memorial Service, at the funeral home.
Survivors include her children, Julie (Paul) Tande of Marion, Iowa; Fred (Mary) Gordon, Jr. of Troy, Texas; and Jeff (Tami) Gordon, of Hiawatha, Iowa; a grandchild, Joshua (Shannon) Weber of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Sisters, Betty (Jack) Schueller of East Dubuque, Illinois and Shirley (Bud) Schueller of Epworth, Iowa, and many nieces and nephews. Kathleen had many other
special people in her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Kathleen was born December 14, 1935, the daughter of Harold and Louise (Dryer) Blume, in Guttenburg, Iowa. She married Fred Gordon, Sr., on September 20, 1958 and later divorced. She was employed at Evergreen Estates III as a Dietary Technician. Kathleen enjoyed cooking and baking and was known for making delicious pies. She also enjoyed playing Bingo.
Kathleen loved her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all.
Memorials may be directed to a charity of the donor’s choice in memory of Kathleen.
