Kathleen June Conaway, 64, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Monday, November 12, 2012, at her home. Celebration of Life: 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 16, 2012, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Marion. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion.
Survivors include two daughters, Kristin (Brett) Meyer and Gina (Jason) Fisher; three brothers, Doug (Sharon) McComb, Steve (Connie) McComb, and Bruce (Marcy) McComb; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and great friends; and a grandson, due to be born in January.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Kathleen was born July 10, 1948, the daughter of Lester and June (Olson) McComb in Fargo, North Dakota. She graduated from Mt. Mercy College with a degree in Psychology.
Kathleen was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church and enjoyed Christian fellowship with friends and family. She had a positive attitude and inspired others. She went quietly and without fanfare just as she would have wanted.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in her memory.
