Katheryn S. Seibert, 83, of Lutz, Florida, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died, Saturday, January 4, 2003, at University Community Hospital in Tampa, Florida, following a sudden illness. Services: 10 a.m. Friday, January 10, 2003, at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids by Rev. Mark Osterhaus. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion. Graveside Committal: 2 p.m. Friday at Mason Cemetery, rural Cedar Bluffs, Iowa.

Survivors include two sons, John (Terry) of Satellite Beach, Florida and Gary (Carol) of Torrance, California; two daughters, Donna Losch (John) of Marion and Lonna Vizzari (Vince) of Lutz, Florida with whom she made her home the last seventeen months; a sister, Nylene Richter of Oregon; a sister-in-law, Jo Ann Kramer of Cedar Rapids; seven grandchildren, Lori Lonbeck (Don) of Bakersfield, California, John E. Seibert of Tallahassee, Florida, Stacy Losch of Lutz, Florida, Sara Williams (Jim) of Marion, Tony Vizzari (Sabrina), Michael Vizzari (Peggy) and Tim Vizzari, all of Lutz, Florida; and five great-grandchildren, Zachary Fifield, Travis and Kyle Lonbeck, Emma Williams and Ashlyn Vizzari.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Frank and Bill; a sister, Dorothea; and her former husband, John Seibert.

Katheryn was born March 8, 1919, in rural Martelle, the daughter of William T. and Sarah A. (Hunter) Kramer. She graduated from Marion High School in 1937 where she was active in sports, cheerleading and was an honor student. She married John Seibert in 1937, they were later divorced. Katheryn worked at Ralston Co. (formerly National Oats) for 26 years, retiring in 1981. She was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church.

Katheryn was an avid Hawkeye fan, bowler, and enjoyed watching all sports. She loved reading, crossword puzzles and cross stitch, but most of all, she loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Katheryn was dearly loved by all and will be missed greatly. We will miss you "Grandma K?.
