Katherine I. Whittemore, 78, of Wyoming, formerly of Marion, Iowa, died Monday, December 24, 2007 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, following a brief illness. Services: 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 28, 2007, at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Marion, Iowa, by Rev. Del Bear. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Private interment: Green Cemetery, Morley, Iowa.
Survivors include her children, Wayne Sawyer, Delhi, Iowa; Jim Whittemore, Bartlett, Illinois; Teresa Macejak, Anamosa, Iowa; Randy Himes, Swansboro, North Carolina; Rex Whittemore, Gilmore, Texas; Kathy Rowe, Wyoming, Iowa; Robert Whittemore, North Carolina; Cindy Vaught, North Carolina; her brothers, Albert Boots, Wyoming, Iowa; Howard Boots, Marion, Iowa; and Arthur Boots, Jr., Anamosa, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert R. Whittemore; a son, Rickie Ray Sawyer; and a brother Bernard Boots.
