Karla Wolff (Kopperud)

Karla Marie Wolff, 49, of 315 Linden Terrace SE, Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, January 13, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, following a short illness. The family will greet friends Wednesday, January 26, 2011 from 4 – 8 p.m. at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion. Memorial Services will be held in Valley City, North Dakota, January 29, 2011 at Faith Lutheran Church, beginning at 1:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 11, 2011 at the Wild Wood Park on Old River Road next to the Cheyenne off leash Dog Park, starting at 12:00 p.m.
Survivors include her husband, Bob, of Cedar Rapids; her daughter, Jessica Skeie and her husband, Ryan Bankson of Iowa City. Her parents, Wendell and Judy Kopperud of Jamestown, North Dakota; brothers, Wayne (Julie) Kopperud of Oaks, North Dakota, and Ross (Angie) Kopperud of Jamestown, North Dakota; and her faithful companions, Charley Barley, Coco Moco, and Maddy Moo.
Karla was born June 14, 1961, the daughter of Wendell and Judy (Benson) Kopperud, in Valley City, North Dakota. She married Bob Wolff on June 27, 1986 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
She was an Attorney, member of the Linn County Bar Association, practicing in Family Law for over 20 years. She enjoyed working in the garden, traveling the country and overseas and sailing. She especially loved hanging out with her little boys Charley, Coco and Maddy.
A Memorial fund is being established at HACAP, P.O. Box 490, Hiawatha, IA 52233, helping women and children in need of assistance, one of her passions.
