Karen Marie (Rozinek) Moore, 58, of Coggon, went home to her Lord on Friday, January 1, 2016, after a long and courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Parish Vigil Service will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Central City. Visitation: 4-7 p.m. Monday, January 4, 2016, also at the funeral home. Memorial Mass: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 5, 2016, at St. John Catholic Church in Coggon, by Father Wayne Droessler. Inurnment: At a later date at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Coggon.
Survivors include her husband, Charles; two daughters, Stephanie (Clint) Fangmann and Kenzie Moore (Dalton); son, Logan (Shandrelle) Moore; stepson, Chad Moore; her mother, Genevieve Welsh; three brothers, Brian (Lyn), Dennis (Cathy) and William (Sonja) Rozinek; father-in-law, Kenneth Moore; and five grandchildren, Mikayla Hamad, Cael, Cassidy, and Kaycie Fangmann, and Coltrane Moore.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Rozinek.
Karen was born November 17, 1957, the daughter of Charles and Genevieve (McNamara) Rozinek, in Iowa City. She graduated from North Linn High School and attended Hamilton Business College. On February 14, 1990, she married Charles Edward Moore at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Karen worked at the Village Inn for 14 years, retiring in 2004. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Coggon.
