Karen Lynn Krogh

Karen Lynn Krogh, 66, of Marion, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at her home. Funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion, where the family will greet friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Sunday.
Karen was born on April 27, 1957, in Moline, Illinois, the daughter of Clyde and Virginia (McCormick) Heaton. She graduated from United Township High School, East Moline, Illinois and went on to earn her associate degree from Kirkwood Community College. On June 23, 2012, Karen was united in marriage to David B. Krogh in Coralville, Iowa. She worked for Principal Financial Group for many years, until its closure, she then worked at the Surgery Center in Cedar Rapids. She was employed for a time at the Northside Independent School District in San Antonio, Texas. At the time of her death, she was as a bus aide for the Linn-Mar School District. Her family was her life, and she was fond of helping the kids on her bus route. Karen enjoyed belonging to her Jeep club. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Karen is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband, David Krogh of Marion; daughter, Shana (Keith) Cook of San Antonio, Texas; four grandchildren, Samual, Tristan, Jayden, and Autumn; and sister, Pam (Rob) Hoogerwerf of Geneseo, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Dave Heaton.
