Karen Jo Kearney, 47, of Center Point, died Sunday, December 16, 2007, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids, following long illness. Services: 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2007, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point, by Ken Graham. The family will greet friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Inurnment: Center Point Cemetery, Center Point.
Survivors include her daughter, Michele Kearney of Dubuque; her mother, Freda Kearney of Center Point; and three brothers, Robert Kearney, Jr., Kevin (Deb) Kearney David Kearney and all of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert.
Karen was born March 23, 1960, the daughter of Robert and Freda (Frozen) Kearney, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She worked for Quality Chef/HJ Heinz. Karen loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Center Point United Methodist Church.
A memorial fund has been established in memory of Karen.
