Karen Kay Eppard, 39, of 1885 31st St., died Thursday, December 1, 2005, at her home, surrounded by her family, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Services: 6:00 p.m. Monday, December 5, 2005, at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Marion by Rev. Kevin Jones and Rev. Dennis Johnson. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion and one hour prior to the service at the church. Graveside Service: 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2005, at Milford Cemetery, Milford, Iowa.

Survivors include her husband, Eric; two children, Joseph and Emma, both at home; her parents, Ronny and WillaMae Moeller of Okoboji; her in-laws, Robert and Jeanne Eppard of Mt. Pleasant; her paternal grandmother, Gladys Moeller of Everly; her brother, Jeff (Melodee) Moeller of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; her sister, Nancy (Donald) Knudtson of Lake Mills and their children Sara, Laura, Ryan and Megan; two sisters-in-law, Kelly (Alan) Duncan of Boone and their children Whitney and Nathan and Jill (Mark) Hausler of Ankeny and their children Jonathan, Sam, Isaac and Gabe; and aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Nick and Dora Nagel; her paternal grandfather, Arthur Moeller; and a nephew, Thomas Knudtson.

Karen was born November 6, 1966, the daughter of Ronny and WillaMae (Nagel) Moeller in Spencer, Iowa. She graduated from Britt High School and the University of Iowa. On October 1, 1988, she married Eric Eppard in Britt, Iowa. She worked for the American Red Cross as a financial coordinator for several years. Karen was a member of Lutheran Church of the Resurrection where she was a member of the Bell Choir.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Karen?s memory.
