Julie Ann (Danford) Nightingale, 58, of Marion, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2017, at Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, in Hiawatha, Iowa. Visitation: 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion. Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at the funeral home, conducted by Rev. Michael Hurn. Cremation will follow services. A private committal service will take place at a later date.

Julie was born on July 3, 1958, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Duane H. and L. Sue (Hogan) Danford. She was formerly employed as a bus driver with NTS Transportation for several years. Julie was a loving, caring and devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend; she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her mother, L. Sue (Robert) Lynn of Oskaloosa, Iowa; daughter, Jennifer (Danford) Russell of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; son, Kyle Brophy of Cedar Rapids; sisters, Teresa (Danford) Starr of Bothell, Washington and Cindy (Danford) Kuehn of Snohomish, Washington; brother, Randy Danford of Marion; grandchildren, Sierra Danford, Sydney McMillen and Jaden McMillen, all of Cedar Rapids; and great-grandchildren, Garson Lee Hiles, Jr., Gaberiul Lee Hiles, Elijah Jawaun Bates and Antonio Jay Bates, all of Cedar Rapids.

Julie was preceded in death by her father, Duane H. Danford.
