Julie Ann (Dunleavy) Mccalley

Julie Ann (Dunleavy) McCalley, 63, of Springville, Iowa, died Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at UnityPoint St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A Celebration of Life will be hosted by the family at a later date. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, assisted the family.
Julie was born June 2, 1958, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of John and Evelyn (Holladay) Dunleavy. In 1992, she was united in marriage to Larry R. McCalley. Julie liked to garden and plant flowers. She loved her family very much, especially her grandbabies. The holidays were always a special time for Julie when her family would gather to celebrate. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her husband, Larry McCalley; children, Walter (Brooke) Fisher III, Morgan McCalley, Miles McCalley, Carla McCalley, and Mason (Lacey) Morris; grandchildren, Tyler Morris, Walter Fisher IV, Olivia Fisher, Ashley Eggers, Carson Morris, Brayden Morris, Ayva Muller, and Emmett Fisher; siblings, Jodie Chmelicek, Patti Dunleavy, Gary Kapsalakis, and Rodney Kapsalakis; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Julie was preceded in death by her parents, John and Evelyn Dunleavy-Kapsalakis; and her brother, George Kapsalakis, Jr.
