Judy Ann O’Connor, 67, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at Living Center East, Cedar Rapids. Services: 3:00 p.m., Saturday, March 12, 2011, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion, Iowa. The family will greet friends from 4 – 7 p.m., Friday, March 11, 2011, at the funeral home.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Charles O’Connor of Cedar Rapids; their son and daughter, Tim O’Connor of Cedar Rapids and Theresa (Bruce) Lawrence of Marion; 5 grandchildren; the “love of her life,” Molly Lawrence, her granddaughter; Clint (Kris) Lawrence, Cody (Christy) Lawrence, Carrie Griffith, Casey (Sara) Lawrence; and 9 great-grandchildren, Braxton, Dalton, Miah, and Miranda Lawrence, Hunter, Holdyn, Havana Griffith, and Olivia and Bo Lawrence; a niece, nephews and a special nephew, Scott Quinby; and a brother-in-law, Wayne Quinby.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Diana Quinby.
Judy was born November 11, 1943, the daughter of Leland and Dorothy (Jackson) Knaack, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She graduated from Jefferson senior High in 1961. Judy worked at Collins for 10 years and then became a stay-at-home mom. She enjoyed shopping on QVC, cross stitching, and working in her flower garden.
