Judith A (Haible) White. After a courageous and hard fought battle with cancer, Judy returned home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 25, 2011. Judy was preceded in death by her father Jack and her grandparents. She leaves behind her husband David White, son John Haible, daughter Kirsten Swain, mother Jane Simons, sisters Jeannie Walsh, Janet Warhold, and JoAnne Ownes and granddaughters Rebecca Haible and Star Swain. She also leaves behind nieces Stacy and Jane and nephews Brian, Greg, and James.
Judy was born on June 14, 1945 to Jack and Jane Simons in Philadelphia, PA. She spent her childhood years in Chicago, IL and later moved to Palo, IA with her children John and Kirsten. Judy was married to David on March 21, 1998.
Judy was a Girl Scout leader, Cub Scout and Story Hour teacher. She also worked at Palo Congregate Meals, spending the first two years as a cook and later becoming the manager.. She was instrumental in helping to start the Housing for the Elderly in Palo, IA. Judy spent the past 10 years working at Higley Mansion Care Center in Cedar Rapids. One of her greatest joys was working with the residents and staff. She loved them as a second family. Judy was never happier than when she was spending time with her husband, children and granddaughters. She will be loved and missed by all, but never forgotten.
