Juanita M. Kuhnhofer (Sylvester)

Juanita M. Kuhnhofer, 81, of Evergreen Estates #1, Cedar Rapids, died there, Friday, August 24, 2007, following a short illness. Services: 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 27, 2007, at Calvary Baptist Church, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Jay Jentink. Family will greet friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, August 26, 2007, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Private Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include four brothers, Donald Sylvester of Kansas City, Missouri, Larry (Bethel) Sylvester of Marion, Charles (Kathy) Sylvester of Central City and Tom Sylvester of Cedar Rapids; two sisters, Marie Payne of Des Moines and Sharon (Bob) Allen of Prescott, Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her stepmother, Edytha Sylvester.
Juanita was born March 18, 1926, the daughter of Charles and Myrtle (Eaton) Sylvester, in Des Moines, Iowa. In 1946, she married Lynn Hoffman. He died in 1963. In 1965, she married Earle Kuhnhofer. He died in 1996. Juanita worked at General Dynamics in California, Collins Radio in Cedar Rapids and was a hostess for Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
A memorial fund has been established in memory of Juanita.
