Joyce J. Davison, 68, of 231 Carnaby Drive N.E., died Wednesday, April 30, 2003, following a long illness. Services: 10 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2003, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion, by the Rev. John Gossman. Friends may call today (Friday) from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Marion, where a Vigil service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Surviving are her husband, Wayne; a son, Mark and wife Julie of Manchester and their children, Kara and Connor; a daughter-in-law, Kris of Ankeny; two sisters, Carolyn (Ed) Garrison of Salina, Kansas and Barbara Phillips of Hutchison, Kansas; a brother, Gary Brungardt of Russell, Kansas; and a sister-in-law Lilyota Brungardt of Gorham, Kansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Donald and a son, Brent.

Joyce was born the daughter of W. Nick and Helen (Francis) Brungardt on June 8, 1934, in Gorham, Kansas. On December 21, 1954, in Great Bend, Kansas, she was united in marriage to Wayne Davison. Joyce was retired, but had worked as an aide in the social studies department at Linn-Mar Community School in Marion for many years, during which she made many long and lasting friendships. She was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion. Joyce had a passion for traveling and had many enjoyable trips with her husband, family and friends.
