Joyce was born in Edgewood, May 24, 1932, the daughter of Eugene and Edna (Binning) Whitehead. She graduated from Greeley High School in 1949 with honors.

On May 27, 1951, Joyce was united in marriage to Kenneth E. Andrews. Three children were born to this union, Debra, David and Dana. Joyce was a homemaker, worked as a clerk for several businesses in retail and service and also as a food demonstrator for grocery stores. She joined the Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Staff in 1987.

Joyce was a member of the Manchester United Methodist Church, Hannah Circle, YCM Club, was a Den Mother, Brownie and Scout Leader, played in a Bridge Club, and Tuesday Night Birthday Group. Joyce was always active and enjoyed living in Manchester.

Joyce was a devoted mother and very proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a hard worker, always taking care of her family and others. Her joys were cooking, canning, gardening, reading, garage sales, auctions, crossword puzzles, playing cards and games, visiting with people and dancing with her husband. Her gifts to us were her great sense of sharing and humor.

Joyce is survived by her three children, Debra Moorman of Manchester, David (Cheryl) Andrews of Milwaukee, WI, and Dana (Jeanette) Andrews of Urbandale; nine grandchildren, Thaddeus “Tadd” (Jackie) Moorman, Christopher (Iolanda Bologna) Moorman, Michelle (Adam) Rick, Aaron Andrews, Jeremy (Brenda) Andrews, Annika Andrews, Joel Andrews, Reed Andrews, and Michael Andrews; and two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Chase Rick; six siblings, Dorothy Seibert, Mary (Milo) Timmerman, Glenn (Mary) Whitehead, Jean (Lyle) Beck, Gary (Judy) Whitehead, and Carole (Don) Jensen.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Edna Whitehead, her husband, Kenneth in 1989, and one sister, Lois Philipp.
