Joseph Francis "Pep" Ruzicka

Joseph “Pep” Francis Ruzicka, 73, a resident of Living Center West, Cedar Rapids, died there Thursday morning, June 7, 2007, following a long illness. Graveside Services: 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 9, 2007 at Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 40 years, Susan of Cedar Rapids; his children, Klancy Reid of Shellsburg, Joseph Ruzicka, Jr. of Waterloo, Teresa Ruzicka and Dustin Ruzicka, both of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Rose Marie Ruzicka of Cedar Rapids; and three brothers, Fred Ruzicka, Richard Ruzicka and Kenny Ruzicka, all of Cedar Rapids.
Also surviving are six grandchildren, Rodney Jr., Jasmine, Nicholas and Gabrielle Reid and Courtney and Bianca Ruzicka.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Frankie.
He was born June 30, 1933, in Cedar Rapids the son of Joseph and Myrtle Langton Ruzicka. On May 1, 1967, he married Susan Booth. For thirty-eight years, he worked for Farmstead Foods in Cedar Rapids. He loved John Wayne movies, Polka music, rose gardening and going to garage sales.
