Joseph Peter Moris, 81, a resident of Willow Gardens Care Center, died Tuesday, October 31, 2006, at Mercy Medical Center, following a short illness. Funeral Mass: 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 6, 2006, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Graveside Committal: 2:30 p.m. Millersburg Community Cemetery, Millersburg.
He is survived by his wife Fern; six brothers, Leo Moris of Cuba City, Wisconsin, Frederick "Fritz? (Darlene) Moris of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, Robert (Jane) Moris of Mahwah, New Jersey, Lawrence (Judy) Moris of Oak Creek, Wisconsin, Raymond Moris of LaCrosse, Wisconsin, Gerald (Scherrie) Moris of Brookfield, Wisconsin; three sisters, Mary Lou Morgan Sprosty of Patch Grove, Wisconsin, Theresa (Ross) Bushnell of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, and Suzanne (Robert) Boldt of LaCrosse, Wisconsin; a sister-in-law, Virginia Moris of Franklinton, Louisiana; and many, many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Bernard Moris, Paul Moris, and Charles Moris; and one infant sister, Elizabeth.
Joseph was born to Joseph Lawrence Moris & Susan Mergen Moris on November 25, 1924, in Grant County, Wisconsin. He served with the US Army. Joseph married Fern Webel on June 2, 1962. He worked for Pennick & Ford for many years.
