Joseph Paul Demuth
August 5, 1969 — February 7, 2016
Joseph Paul DeMuth, 46, of Atkins, Iowa, died suddenly Sunday, February 7, 2016, at The University of Iowa Hospital, Iowa City, Iowa following a massive stroke. Family will greet friends from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, February 10, 2016, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, followed by a Celebration of Life at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, at the funeral home.
He was survived by his children, Breanna DeMuth and Sean DeMuth, both of Jesup, Iowa; parents, Clem and Hilda DeMuth of Earlville; siblings, Michael DeMuth (Chelsi) of Hiawatha and Katie (Rob) Otto of Iowa City, Iowa; and the love of his life, Kori Eastwood and her children, Hunter, Sydnee and Jonah all of Atkins, Iowa.
Joseph was born on August 5, 1969, in Layton, Utah, on Hill Air Force Base, son of Clem and Hilda DeMuth. He graduated Guttenberg High School in 1988, and then attended Mt. Mercy and Hawkeye Tech. Joseph was a cement finisher for the Union.
