Joniene Ann Madden, 44, of 1755 8th Avenue, died Monday, December 20, 2004, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, following a sudden illness. Private family services will be conducted. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion.
Survivors include her husband, Anthony "Tony? E. Madden; her son, Jason Madden of Marion; her parents, Burton and Antoinette Whiting; and her in-laws, Henry B. and Shirley J. Madden of Cedar Rapids; two sisters; and two brothers.
Joniene was born June 11, 1960, the daughter of Burton and Antoinette (Edwards) Whiting in Rosebud, South Dakota. On September 18, 1981, she married Tony Madden in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Joniene served with the U.S. Army for two years.
