JOHN W. MEISSNER, 59, of 310 Fifth Ave. SE, died Thursday, February 12, 2004, in Living Center West following a short illness. Memorial Services: 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 17, 2004 at Lovely Lane United Methodist Church in Cedar Rapids by Rev. Brian Milford and Rev. Clint Twedt-Ball. Graveside Committal Service: 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2004 at Dunkard Cemetery, rural Toddville.
Survivors include three step-sisters, Rose (Robert) Eaton of Cedar Rapids, Kathryn Merta of Cedar Rapids and Norma (Dave) Snow of Marion; many friends; staff members; and his loving companion, his cat, "Nancy.?
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice of Mercy or Camp Courageous in John's memory.
